God damn.  You're doing yourself a tremendous disservice.  Rent it or something.  I'll even mail you a copy of it if you want.  Just watch the movie.

It's brilliant.  The acting is superb (not just Linda Blair, too- it's easy to be made scary, but Ellen Burstyn was able to act like she was genuinely terrified), it's got a good soundtrack and creative and artful cinematography.  It's a scary movie that doesn't have to rely on special effects and gore to terrorize.  A real masterpiece of horror.

Yeah, I get pretty worked up about horror movies.  :twitchy:

Especially that one.  It was probably the singular most important movie I ever watched when I was a kid.  I saw it when I was 11, and from then on I've been just captivated by horror.
