Into the Badlands
    #24232883 -

Does anyone watch this show. Holy freaking crap I'm down right in love with it.  It takes a really good show for me to consider good.  This show is downright great.  I'm not really big into heavy fighting action in shows and movies but this shows action makes me cream myself. The fighting sequences, cinematography, the acting, the story line, the setting and time period,  fucking fantastic.  I just watched it and it's still fresh in my mind and I always like judging a show well after I have finished watching it but man I really love it.

I just finished watching the latest episode from season two and my tv and room is covered with jizz.  I mean the shit it dripping from the ceiling.

I'm just pumped because there's finally a series that I'm really into.  It's been so long since a good tv series has really intrigued me like this.  Shows like Lost and Supernatural did it for me and I'd never thought anything would top those two but this one definitely has the potential.  I just hope the ending is good, they could still screw it up but it has been awesome so far.

If anyone is looking for a good series to watch I highly recommend checking it out.  I never thought I'd like an action/fighting type show but it's so much more then that.

Has anyone seen it? If not just go watch it, don't reply, don't post, call off work, cancel plans, and just go watch it.  It's also got a hot ass red head in it and she's pretty bad ass and that's just ok with me.  Ok stop reading this post now.  You know what you need to do.

Actually never seen it heard it was decent.  But it's not as good as Badlands just cause that's why.

Seriously though what channel is that on, i wouldn't mind checking it out.

I really loved the first season. I haven't really been liking the second as much. I still look forward to it, just not as enthusiastically.

Vikings is on History Channel.

I'm watching it...it's pretty good. My wife likes some of the fighting scenes, which is weird for her...like that scene right at the beginning of season 2 where Sunny kicks some serious ass when he's all tied up.

Some of the shows casting is really  though...like Bajie.

I kind of agree the second season started it iffy with me but I still liked it.  Butt these last few episodes have really set the show off.  I'm digging the direction their going with it.

I think it would be cool though to learn more about the time and setting and how things got that way.  It gives a vague idea of where the locations at, but still don't really know, but I'd like to know how things got the way they did.

I forget exactly but they have a set number of seasons they are going to make so I suppose they have the story mapped out.  If I recall correctly they weren't going to make a whole lot of episodes and I remember thinking about how their goI got to answer all the questions and finish the show especially when they keep adding new characters and questions to things.  I may be wrong though and not thinking right about it, they could be making more episodes then I'm thinking.  Especially if the show gets popular I bet they would keep making more and more till the cash runs out of the cow.

Ya I like the fighting too which is also weird for me, but I think they do a good job of it.

And ohh ya Bajie, I agree with you there, that's one character who could of had a better actor play it or just have it eliminated or just given him a lot smaller roll.  I suppose he needed some sort of guide but it definitely could have been done better.

I also been watching the show Magicians.  It's pretty decent.  I really liked season one,  the second has its ups and downs can't really get a grip on which way their going with it.  Plot and story line has been inconsistent I suppose.  Hoping it gets back to what they did in the first season, we shall see.

My buddys actually loved badlands, I honestly haven't givin it a good try yet. I sall it and kinda was like meh.. But I should give it a shot.

Vikings is something I highly recommend. Personally for me it was breaking bad, then I found sons of anarchy and now is vikings. These have been my favorite shows on TV as they've come out. Since the first two are over vikings is all I got now.

I felt lost in the 2nd season beginning episode. Like it didn't feel like the first season or where it left off? I ended up watching 20 minutes but then kinda was like 'well there are many, many other shows I could watch right now' idk, maybe I'll watch it someday, but we'll see

Glad I'm not the only one. I frequently forget what is going on in a show from season to season (why I prefer to just binge) and feel lost almost every first episode of a new season. I usually pick it back up pretty fast though. I dunno about this show. I still feel lost and am not really sure why what's going on is going on. I mean I remember the events they mention in season 2 that happened in season 1 but it still just feels.. disjointed?

I might go back and watch the last few episodes of season 1 and rewatch what's out of season 2 and see if it still feels like that.

Oh ya binging is so much better.  The first few episodes of season 2 of Badlands took me awhile to really sink in, the last few episodes have been flowing a lot better though also  I watched season 1 not too long ago so it wasn't too bad.  I couldn't imagine waiting for a show like Lost season to season I'm glad I just binged that. I mean sometimes there's a year or more between seasons I think that really hurts the flow of shows.

I really enjoyed breaking bad and then I started Better Call Saul which season 3 starts tonight I believe.  But I didn't even finish season 2 yet.  There were just too many filler type episodes where nothing goes on and I lost interest.  I'm sure the last 3 episodes would have picked up but I was so bored with the middle ones I just never had the motivation to finish.

A lot of series take time for people to pick up on and get popular it seems like.  Like very few people I knew watched breaking bad when it first came out,  but the last season everyone and their mother was talking about it, it was all over facebook, talk shows, just freaking everywhere.  Once a few seasons come out on Netflix or whatever it seems like people get into them a lot more,  I know a lot has to do with just exposure but I think when people binge the shows and not have to wait a year in between seasons really helps the flow of the show and people just get into it more since they don't forget everything that happens.

yeah idk if it is worth it though lol, I don't know anyone that really watches this show so I will be shocked if it gets a season 3 or 4. but just my opinion of course, I could be wrong and it could be much more popular than it seems. But it never had that 'exceptional' feeling, just a 'pass time' feeling. and that just isn't worth it to me anymore

Oh it's definitely getting a season 3.  It takes time for o build a fan base.  I mean no one really watched the first couple seasons of breaking bad and look how that blew up. Reviews are getting better, fans are starting to get into the latest episodes.  Ever show has a period where things get boring usually to set up the plot.  Plus from what they say they have the whole story mapped out and apparently producers and rc execs like where it's going.  I think it's set up for maybe season 10 Episode seasons and it's gonna happen to many fans want to see it through.

I get your point and you may be right, and you may show me the ratings, but I think Breaking Bad was pretty big the first two years. What would be the point of Walter Whites evolution if you didn't see what an uninteresting Chem teacher he was in the first season.

Personally I could blow him away in charisma and piking student interest by the 3rd of my 10 semesters as  a Big ten T.A.  Beyond his cancer, his failure at his chosen profession changed Walter into Heisenberg.

I'm not positive but all I know it pitching breaking bad too all my friends and none of them seemed to have seen it.  Same with message boards and internet fame.  It may have done well ratings wise,  I'm thinking it was similar to Badlands with ratings.  But from the first few seasons to the last 2 the popularity shot up insanely.  Like I remember telling people about it and they where like ehh I'm not big on it then 5 years later they'd make a facebook post saying ooooog last season of BB so excited.  It seems like a lot of people just like shows because they want to be popular.  Usually the same superficial people that only like things that get wildly popular.

I mean BB is pretty high on my list of favorite series the middle of the show was just awesome, showing his transition to Heisenberg.  But like a lot of endings I was let down a little.  That's mainly just me there's not too many series that get that perfect ending.  A lot of time writers even put that in their dialogue how hard endings are.  Because they are even in my very amateurish writings I've always found endings difficult especially if I'm writing on the fly.  Some shows have the endings wrote before they even start their book.  Harry Potter comes to mind I believe JK Rowling said she had the ending wrote before she was very far into the books.

I usually end up liking the popular shows for the exact opposite reason. I refuse to watch it just because I assume it to be some generic trash since everyone is always raving about it, and then somehow end up watching a few episodes and find out I actually like it. I think the last one was BBT. I refused to watch it all the way up to like season 6 or so and then I got sick/bed ridden and that was when TBS was playing like 3 hours of BBT every night. Now it's one of my favorite shows.
