the growing directions I found at the site above differ greatly from the PF-tek method. They call for only brown rice for a substrate for one thing and they say nothing about removing the rice cake from the jars for fruiting. I"m wondering if anyone knows if this method works reliably: it seems miles easier than building a terrarium etc. Could this method just be lower yielding, or is it less reliable too?

hey bro, do yourself a favor.....dont do that...
If you want a fool-proof way of growing cubensis' follow the pf-tek to the letters...dont alter or simplify anything....and low and behold my friend, you will have mushrooms...
