Perlite Question?????

I was just wondering on my new setup I have a tub with a rack on the bottem and I will have water and perlite under the rack and all my cakes will be on the rack. Now my question is do I have to sterlize my perlite in a pressure cooker or will it have no effect on my cakes?

no need to pressure cook the perilite.

Just add the perilite.....then add a water hydrogen peroxide mixure.
10 parts water to 1 part hydrogen peroxide.

2" of perilite....make it damp.
