Did I add enough water? used PF Tek
    #593463 - 03/30/02 06:42 AM (22 years, 9 months ago)

Alright, im a little worried for some reason now. The more I read the more I feel like I didnt put enough water to mix with the verm and brf.
I did what the PF Tek said.... 2/3 cup verm, 1/4 cup brf, 1/4 cup water.
First of all this was more than enough for 1/2 pint jars. I only had to make this mixture 8 times (exactly) to fill a 12 jars (1 and 1/2 half jars per mixture).
Anywayz, im afraid that there isnt enough water in them. Should it look moist? It really doesnt. I read in one of the tek's that if you put a pen or something in the jar and take it back out, the substrate should not crumble into the empty space left. It didnt, but im still worried.
Also, I just put the fars back in the Ball Jar Box that they came in. I lysol'd the box and everything first. I have the box in my closet. Its probably around 65 degrees. Sucks......what if I place a blanket around the box? hm........

If you don?t want to worry how much water you put into your substrate, then I suggest you to look at the "PF-Tek for Simple Minds", http://www.fungifun.org/pf/pf_en.htm .
