what size vials for slants?

i am considering getting some vials for slants. what size is approperate? Stamets suggested screw on caps, but i don't recall the size in TMC. I don't have the book, just read a bit of it.

Any size should do, but the larger the diameter, the more surface area you will have on the slant. I would suggest 18 mm x 150 mm borosilicate culture tubes. PM me, I ought to be able to send you a few(they don't have screw tops); otherwise just use petris, or jars (jars waste a lot of agar though).

Something to think about, water storage. . .great for the home cultivator, IMO. Pretty much any size container will do, I've been storing strains in little 1.6 mL sterile snap-top tubes. Supposed to last longer than agar slants, with or without mineral oil. Easier to make, I'm sure PC'd dH2O is more than adequate.
