agar - premade petrii/slants?

my wookie friend has done his little first batch of agar yesteday. he doesnt have his lab yet, so its kind of a hassle for him to make agar medium and he would like to do this the less often possible. the question is... can he make a large number of agar petrii/slants, innoculate just a few and leave the rest waiting in the fridge for further innoculation with mycelium from first innoculated dishes? if yes, how long would fridge stored agar dishes last? thanks already...

Put them in sealed plastic bags and they should keep for months. Do not freeze.
