old cow shit...?

ive got a bunch of old dry cow shit that i plan to use as substrate ....
i was thinking 1/1 vermiculite to cow shit...
i also have some .05 .05 .05 store bought compost....should i mix any of this into the substrate or is just shit and vermiculite fine...
which would produce larger flushes with bigger mushrooms.
