2006 Snowbirds!

I used to see them lots at the local airshows in this town when I was a kid, but we haven't had an airshow in many years.

Yesterday, I travelled to Dawson Creek where they were performing at the airshow. It was a really killer time.

It's so mind boggling what we humans have become able to do. I HIGHLY recommend getting to see these people perform. They have some pictures and a couple videos, check it out.

It was a fun day though. It's about a 4 and a half hour drive from my city. I had a bit to drink and ended up renting a "themed" room for the night, which was pretty deadly having a big ass jacuzzi and whatnot, and came home the next day.

But yea, the airshow was awesome. This helicopter dropped a car from way the fuck up in the sky and it exploded instantly when it hit the ground.

I remember them from back in the day, used to always come to our air shows in the interior, too bad that kind of thing doesnt happen here anymore.

Actually, now thinking, it has probably been close to 10 years, before yesterday, since I saw them.

It was amazing. With the soft music it was actually so serene. Not noisy, just beautiful, slow motion formations gliding in the sky.

I just moved to the island and live a couple miles down from the Comox base. I'll sure I'll get a chance to check them out sometime.
