Anyone else going to this? I know I'm CERTAINLY going to be there. Here's a description if anyone is interested.
Dracula with Philip Glass & Kronos Quartet / Slavic Soul Party Thursday, Jul 27, 2006 7:30 pm Brooklyn
Princess Cruises Movies Under the Stars Series Presented in collaboration with Carnegie Halr
World-renowned composer PHILIP GLASS' collaboration with the genre defying KRONOS QUARTET on an original score to the 1931 camp-horror classic DRACULA resulted in one of the great film soundtracks of all time. Glass and Kronos reunite at Celebrate Brooklyn to perform the score live for the first time since 2001. SLAVIC SOUL PARTY's toothsome combo of Gypsy brass, Balkan anthems, and hip-grinding funk will make you want to bite someone on the neck.

I miss NYC alot. I think about it a few times a week, too. We might visit in the spring, but I'm not sure if it will be that soon, or not.
That sounds like fun, though!

you're looking for a place to live in the metropolitan area? the Brooklyn Carroll gardens area is realyl nice. kind of price but its a great neighborhood chill but there is still a lot of cute stuff to do.
I personally still live at home and really haven't gotten much of a taste of what other neighborhoods are like espcially to live in...

I'm going to this!
I bet it will be crowded.
Edited to add For Corporal Kielbasa: If you love Kielbasa, check out the Greenpoint section of brooklyn-lots of Polish butchers. Otherwise, Fort Greene/Clinton Hill are great to live in.

I would also take a look at the MTA map and live accorind to subways. The G train sucks.. i would stay away from anywhere that ONLY has the G train. For osmeone like me who doesn't drive subway convenience is very important. so... yea

Ugh! The G train is not cool! It reminds me of when I was catching the train to catch my plane. This older cat was telling me how horrible it was when the power went out and he was waiting on the G train. He said he just sat really still and listened to the chaos go on around him. I can't even imagine the horror!

That's a good point. Greenpoint only has the G, but it still seems like a decent place to live.
