Makeshift BRF Grinder
    #590073 -

OK, So I'm chasing Roadkill's badass results with fresh ground
BRF. I had the wife pick me up some brown rice but I forgot to
tell her to get a coffee grinder. So I'm sitting here looking at a
bag or rice,(I'm real impatient) thinking about smashing it with
a hammer, but that
wouldn't be very clean. I thought about how indians ground
corn with a rock, forget that. And I looked over and saw my
pepper grinder. I cleaned it up, and filled it with rice. After a
few minutes, I realized at this rate I should have a cup of BRF
in about four days. Then came the brain storm. I removed the
top of the grinder,  and chucked that little shaft up in a Makita
cordless drill. It makes some short work of rice! The shaft
was square so it wasn't a perfect fit to the drill. But it will
grab it and spin it! Also you need to put the shaft as far as it
will go into the drill so that it doesn't mess up the threads on
the end of the shaft (just in case you still want to grind
pepper later).
If this is an old idea, I'm sorry, I haven't seen it yet.
I hope that helps someone. :peace:

too floury?.......but I was making flour.
oh yeah, I also made some flour out of finch seed
just to see how it would do.
And I did think about the blender, but I left my blender
over at a friends house when we sampled my first
harvest a while back. I later realized shrooms don't
taste that bad and really don't need to be mixed with
juice. So I can never remember to bring it home and
he wasn't around last night. But thanks.:peace:

nah the mycelia usually like to hit onto the nice chunks of rice everyone once ina while! Besides that ways its alittle more coarse and there is more room to breethe cuz if its too floury then it wont have as much air!
