I can't fucking wait until its wider release. It's playing downtown now, but I'm too cheap and lazy to go down there.
Waking Life blew my mind and I hear this is on par with it.

It's totally worth seeing it in the theater!
I loved the book and am very critical of movies in general. I never go to the theater because I think they are overpriced and I like to smoke weed while I watch. So it is saying something that even I wasn't disappointed with Scanner. I went to an alternative theater downtown and at leat 25% of the people in there were tripping. At the end of the film some people were just curled up in their seats like "woah" and some loony toon caused an outburst, yelling something about the government being out to get us. I took some 2c-i and it went very well with the film, all the speeded freak dialog and the rotoscoping. So if you can see this at a theater frequented by wierdos, then that is probably the best place to see this movie.
