Lead in my MIDI controller?

I just got an M-Audio Axiom 25 off ebay the other day, and I popped open the manual with this sticker that said that the product was made of lead and that I had to wash my hands after using it. This kinda freaked me out, why is there lead in my MIDI Controller? Is this sorta thing common?

was it stuck in there by the manufacturer or printed? i see a faint white border around the area...
