MIDI Synthesizers
    #4066081 - 04/17/05 07:26 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

Does anyone know how to make MIDI's sound better?
I used to have FF7 for the PC and it came with a Yamaha synthesizer that made midi's sound incredible. I lost the CD's and can't find the synth on the web... looked everywhere.

Does anyone know of any other way to make midi's sound like real music?

No... afraid not... that's for creating midi's. I'm looking for a filter of sorts.

You play the midi(you know what these sound like... ringtones and crap.), the program does something crazy to it, and the product sounds like a live orchestra. It does it realtime... the Yamaha synth was just a driver. I miss it though  :frown:

You're probably looking for the Yamaha XG drivers, which is what shipped with FF7. This site might have what you want: www.xgfactory.com

That's exactly it moog. xgfactory only has the updates though. I think the drivers are discontinued. You don't have the install discs to ya?
