anyone here who knows if these are any good? just imagine the posibilites on acid or something, with one tripped-out fella on the guitar with another tweaking it with his synth&fx rack. it'd be like selected ambient maggot brains!
my friend got them on one of his guitars, with a GR30 i think it was. An ok pedal, and after a little messing with the setting and such, you could get some really cool sounds out of it. The biggest drawback though is bending notes, and finger slips. The string vibrates and the pickups translate that vibration into MIDI, which makes the pedal play a voice bank, if you bend it, you are changing the note and the info is translated into a half pitch higher. So a lot of times you get this really disonant squelch. This also happens everytime your finger just slightly slips on the fret. So, for fun, i would say yes, for professional stage use, i would say no, unless you have practiced a year or so with doing it.
