Sgt Pepper whilst tripping? Is it more an Acid thing, cause it just winds me up on Mushrooms?

This has been mulling over in my mind since my trip last week (it went very well thanks for asking).

I think the album's overrated but okay, but that's beside the point...

I've tried several times to listen to Sgt Pepper on mushrooms (haven't done acid in years, not that it's even available round here) and every time it bums me out.

"Lucy in the Sky.." is fine, so is "Within Without You" and I've happily listened to "Lovely Rita" and "Day in the Life" on compilations I've made.

The few times I've listened to it I've found the opening track an annoying noise, "With A Little Help" twee beyond belief, and "She's Leaving Home" the world's biggest downer.

Whereas The "White" Album always does the trick.

Is it just me? Or as I ask in the heading, is it better on acid.

Write your answers on a postcard, then tear them up, or something.

Fuck this is dull, hell, I'll post it anyway.

personally im not sure im really into music that much on mushrooms. on acid though, my headphones dont leave my ears
