Seeing eye dogs, but for epileptics. Should I get one?
    #5836854 - 07/08/06 08:48 PM (17 years, 6 months ago)

Because of epilepsy. There are many places that have just recently started giving dogs to epileptics, because dogs can supposedly tell when you are about to have one, like up to fifteen minutes before hand.

I figure this would be useful for drug situations, and also for driving. Plus no one can tell me i cant bring it into restaurants, or to school, or into stores, or onto planes.

plus it could be a fuckin chick magnet, right?

what do you guys think? should i get a dog?

I think it's a good idea.
I mean, why not?
If you epileptic, it'll make things safer for you right?
And the other benefits are a plus*

*Though you shouldnt just get one because you think its nifty, you should only get one if you really feel you need it. It takes a long time to train those dogs, and if you dont need one then your taking it away from someone else.

What would you name it ? lol

No point in mentioning these bats, I thought. Poor bastard will see them soon enough

I'm curious, if someone who sees gets a seeing eye dog just for the sake of having an intelligent dog, would the dog somehow know that something's not balanced?
