That first spider looks like it could be a brown recluse. Did you get any pictures of the thorax(section of body behind head/eyes)?

Why do you hate spiders?

They don't hurt you. They eat insects living in your home. They look cool.

I mean WTF is wrong with you?

It doesn't look like a brown recluse. It isn't a brown recluse.

They might be helpful with insects, but once you find them in your dresser drawers, in your laundry hamper, crawling in your shower, you'll have no desire for them to be around either (especially when you're sitting down and they float down a strand of web from the ceiling in front of your face).

Man I got bit twice by a spider on my ankle: First it itched liked a mosqito bite, then it hardened over like a blister, now it balloned up and is yellow and full of puss. I keep draining them but they just fill back up. True story, damn spiders

That's NOT a recluse. I got bit by one 2 years ago on my thigh. Good thing he wasn't facing the other way, or I'd have no nuts now!!
A volcano the size of a quarter on my thigh, erupting as the poison eats the flesh. Turned my whole leg down to the knee bright red.
It took 3 days to realize I'd been bitten. They wanted to hospitalize me, but with no insurance, I declined. Took a week off work, and after Very expensive antibiotics for a week, I started to get better. I still have a scar to this day, and although I'm not afraid of spiders, I have a respact for them :poison:

I have personally handled spiders many times, going back to when I was around 4 years old. Proud to say that NOT ONE OF THEM has ever bitten me.

When I see a spider in my shower, I PICK IT UP (cuz they don't hurt humans) and I put it somewhere better where there might be insects.

Those trailer webs you feel on your face are from baby spiders, but they need something called wind to get across your living room. Which I don't think they have.

Sounds like a black widow brown recluse hybrid to me. :ooo:

It could be a recluse. The eye grouping/arrangement is similar to that of recluses.

After looking at that picture though, it seems like that spider is in a funnel type web. If that's the case, it's not a recluse. They don't make organized webs.

Okay, lets assume it was a recluse.

It is still not a dangerous spider and is quite unlikely to cause you any harm.

Granted, they're not agressive and your chances of getting bitten are low unless you bump into it. But if somehow that did happen, I wouldn't want to have to deal with a festering ulcer of dying flesh. Call me crazy, but I'd get rid of the thing knowing that it could do that to me.

I once accidentally inhaled a jumping spider I was inspecting on my hand area.

It was fated that I consume him, to become one with the Spider Diety, Pithus.

So yeah, I like spiders
