Worried about mushroom visualizations

Hello everyone,

I hope that this is the correct section to post this... but as it is related to "The Psychedelic Experience", so it should be OK.

I am a semi frequent migraine headache sufferer, and one of the most common symptoms that precedes my headache is a period of time where a section of my vision is blocked out by a spot of flickering “pin wheeling” within my line of sight.

I have plans to take mushrooms within the next month, and I worry that some of the visualizations I may experience may resemble those that precede the terrible migraines that I suffer from that force me to not be able to continue my day, due to the numbness, loss of vision, and pain that I experience.

If these visualizations are similar I do not believe that the rest of the trip could be pleasant.

It would be great if someone could address this for me if only to put my mind at ease, or to stop me from taking the shrooms.

Also the input of a fellow migraine sufferer would be greatly appreciated.

Now I'm not sure if migranes are anything similar to cluster headaches, but you may find this interesting.

You have nothing to worry about. I suffer from cluster headaches and I find that psychedelic substances such as lsd and mushrooms leave me feeling clear-headed and headache free for the entire trip and for many days after.

I also get a sort of aura and I see invisible specs on white walls and the like, but those are unpleasant because I know the headache is coming . . mushroom visuals are not.

I have never had a migraine or the visuals you describe but imo the visuals from mushrooms will look nothing like what you get before a headache and if the pains gone I really don't think your gonna care what type of visuals your having anyways to be honest...kudos for doing your research and finding a way to treat yourself...fuck the doctors

I suffer from very occasional migraines myself...
I have visual distortions from my headaches that I would call "anti-tunnel-vision" where the center of my vision goes black and I can only see the periphery.
They generally only happen once a year at most however. Have been happening since before I used psychedelics.

Mushrooms have never reminded me of this, nor have I ever had these headaches on or around mushroom trips.
