Migran?
    #4486206 - 08/02/05 06:23 PM (11 years, 4 months ago)

I was just wondering if it is dangerous or hazaroudus to my health if I keep doing mushrooms beacuse I get migrans every so often.(not from mushrooms i've had them before I even started taking them!) :frown:I don't think I can refer to it as a mental condition but I just want to be sure! :frown: :grin:Thanks

"A smoker would theoretically have to consume nearly fifteen hundred pounds of marijuana within about 15 minutes to induce a lethal response... In strict medical terms, marijuana is far safer than many of the foods we commonly consume. For example, eating ten raw potatoes can result in a toxic response. By comparison, it is physically impossible to eat enough marijuana to induce death."

Psilocybin is actually being used in experimental studies to treat cluster headaches.  I'm not sure about migrains.

It would certaintly not feel great to have a migrain come on when you are tripping.

I'd say besides the concern of getting caught in a migrain in a trip, there is little to worry about.  I know people who get migraines and are also big shroomers.  Do you take medication for your migraines?

I'm sorry that the suffering gets that bad!  :frown:

Do they come on unexpectedly or is there a pattern?

Usually when I work out to much,or use up A LOT of my energy so that I get REALLY tired! it's not that bad though I've only been to the hospital once because it was bad but it's o.k I just want to know if it's safe to take shrooms though? :tongue2:

I haven't had a migraine ever since I've first taken mushrooms.

I've heard from many sources that Mushrooms will actually terminate a migraine.  I wouldn't know, because I haven't had one in a long time : )

(I used to have them very regularly until I was blessed with these lovely little "flowers")

Check out hte MAPS studies, they are mostly on cluster headaches, but they do mention Migraines.

Also, check out www.clusterbusters.com

It's safe.   You DO use up a lot of energy while tripping, but as long as you don't exert yourself too much (and bring on a migrain) you'll probably be fine.  :mushroom2:

I'm pretty sure you can't have a migraine under the influence of psilocybin.

Wow this is great news.

I've never tripped before, but I've always wondered this.

I can't have anything that contains caffeine, due to the fact that I get migraines from it.  This means no chocolate, sodas...pretty much everything I used to eat.  But, I haven't had any of that in about 3 years now, with great results.  No migraines.

So, I was always wondering whether or not shrooms would bring on a migraine for me.  Guess not .
