do you leave voice messages after a call?
    #5782602 -

I dont. I think its stupid really. I have about 3 voice messages on my phone right now, and i dont feel like calling a number and listening to the usual bullshit. but thats just me... what about you guys?

I don't leave messages. Not answering machines, not voicemail, nada.

I make exceptions when something is really important, but otherwise I just call another time. Fuck phone tag.

i avoid it as much as possible. i also avoid listening to voicemails for days on end. if a voicemail goes past the 15 or 20 second mark, I delete it without listening to the whole thing. i can't STAND long voicemails.

yes.. long voicemails are the worst. i delete those before they end.

like konnrade i only leave messages when something is REALLY important

EDIT: I delete mine as soon as possible as well, i hate the lil logo for voicemails, it tricks me sometimes and i think i have a text message. but ive been getting so many voicemails lately, it sucks

I leave messages when it's pretty important. As for answering my messages, I will wait until I have several before I call my voicemailbox.

I usually just call back later. Occasionally I'll leave a message if I'm having trouble getting in touch with them, but I avoid it if at all possible.

the other day I walked around this city for about five hours, and I left my cell phone at home and took my videocamera instead, and just captured life, and when I got back, my mom had tried to get in touch with me and she was livid when I told her I left it at home on purpose.

wtf mang?  do I exist solely so people can get in touch with me if they want? fuck that. I don't need to be within reach of everyone all the time.  that just creeps me out.

My mother is fucking awful at leaving god damn long voicemails because she talks A LOT. And my phone won't let me delete a message until it has finished playing. Pisses me off.

^^agree w/ idiotek

I dont leave voicemail. If i call you and you dont pick up, i'll send you a text letting you know whats up.

I hate having to go through the whole automated bullcrap ,hence the fact that i currently have 25 unheard voicemails...

..that i dont plan on listening to

hits 3 on your phone, twice. Do its sort of fast. It should then give you the option of deleting it before its done.

The Chinese don't leave messages because they view it as socially awkward. they also don't like using email for the same reason. they gravitate towards IMing and chat rooms.
