I found these in my back yard today. Do they look like poppies to you?


I also found this, it has similar leaves, same size but looks more mature with 3 little flower thingies on top... definitely a weed. Not a poppy.
What do you think?

Second pic looks like Wild Lettuce. First, I dunno..Maybe poppy.Dandelion, hard to tell. :confused:

definately very strange its most likely a weed though, but you might want to wait to see if it blooms and take a pic

those are definetly dandelions, often mistaken for poppies in the seedling stage.

Well my dad likes to spray weed killer out there quite often. Would this kill the poppies? Are poppies considered weeds?

A weed is onnly a plant that you dont want in your yard. My yard is full of so called weeds, its only because people dont want them in their nice landscaped yards. I on the other hand like many of these 'weeds'. :smile:

Not a poppy, I had thought the same thing of plants appearing in my yard (as I HAD indeed spread poppy seed on their location...)

They're weeds.
