Well my fuck up proffessor didn't tell us how to do a derivative problem like this, can anyone help?
The derivative of:
y=x + squareroot(x)

Thanks, not to piss you off, but the x in the denominator has a positive exponent (1/2).
Also if I could get help on this one:
Derivative of
(4+x)/(1-4x)
Please!!!

the answer of the first is as he said
second is deriv of -4x^2 - 15x + 4 so.... -8x - 15 is the answere

that's what I thought at first too. look carefully and you'll notice the / in there. anyways, its simple quotient rule. derivative of top * bottom - derivative of the bottom * the top all over the bottom squared.
you get -15/(1-4x)^2

fuck man, i just took a calc exam today. Just wait til you get to differentiation, i had a problem that took up a whole page of paper today.

I fucking hated my ordinate differential equations class. That class sucked ass.

The derivative of:

y'= 1 + [(1)/(2)(squareroot x)]

Nah, you got the 1 part right, the answer should be y=1 + 1/2 x^-1/2
I could be wrong though, it's been a while.

u'v-v'u/v^2...
(1)(1-4x)-(4)(4+x)/(1-4x)^2... you simplifiy.
