Chode wants a balcony, I want big closets....
What's the most important thing to you when you are looking for a place to call home?

Probably, but not necessarily. Speed and availability can vary so if it's important to you I'd double-check with the landlord.

Of all the things to forget to check when I we picked our apartment, I never turned on the shower to see how the water pressure was. Now my days begin in misery.

I need to take the shower head off the pipe and remove the water restrictor to begin with.
Where does the lowflow valve get installed exactly?

Quiet. I am the lightest sleeper ever. If it's noisy, I can't live there. Also, safety, bug free, and nice.

I need city noise to fall asleep soundly most of the time!

I go with quietness and privacy.
I have a pretty large home theatre system, so basically I want it quiet when I need it to be, but also to rock the system when I want. Thus, I've found carriage apartments to be ideal. Right now, I live behind an older guy's mansion. He converted the old carriage house into an apt./garage. I have the whole thing with no neighbors. All my problems solved.
What sucks is I'll be moving to a larger city soon. THat'll prob. force me to live in a traditional apt. complex.

Did you grow up in NYC, or just attend school there? I personally don't like big cities like NYC. Too much hustle and bustle for me, although there is a lot to do there.

Craziness. I stayed in NYC for 3 days, and slept for only a couple hours. The city noise drove me crazy
Lots of awesome stuff in the city though.

I'm the opposite.. I like crickets chirping and owls noises.
I guess it all depends on what you're used to.

The pub seems really slow today. On another note, I think I may be allergic to codeine. I feel itchy for some reason.
