(WENN/CBS) Illusionist David Copperfield is planning to go one better than rival David Blaine by impregnating a woman live onstage.

The magician will carry out the stunt in Germany, without - he insists - even touching the volunteer.

Copperfield tells PageSix.com, "There is a great deal of new territory to conquer. I'm going to make a girl pregnant. Naturally there will be no sex.

"Everybody will be happy about it, but I'm not telling you any more."

What levels do these people have to go to? I've seen Copperfield twice and has been sold out both times months before the event. I hear he sells out every show he ever does. Why would someone have to do some retarded trick to gain a base that he already has. Plain stupid.

Copperfield was engaged to the supermodel Claudia Schiffer, but the couple parted ways in 1999 after a six year relationship. There was speculation that Schiffer was not actually Copperfield's girlfriend, but was instead a contractor working for him. The popular German tabloid Bild published a fax from Copperfield's management to Schiffer, informing her of Copperfield's itinerary, where she should appear with Copperfield, and her fees. Copperfield labeled the fax a forgery. Richard Jeffries, the father of Schiffer's next boyfriend, art dealer Tim Jeffries, stirred up the controversy further when he publicly stated that Copperfield never had sexual relations with Schiffer. Copperfield's retort was that since Jeffries was never in their bedroom, he couldn't know. Schiffer also denied the accusations by Jeffries.

I have to say I like David Blaine more than any of the "magicians" out there.

David Copperfield has a huge fan base though. I had one of his magic sets as a young child and I am almost 30 now.

Everyone has to bigger and better i guess.

I saw an interview and I think they said they are going to have an ultrasound machine on stage to show conception. The funny thing about that is conception can take up to 3 days, I thought.

I have a feeling anyone that watches is going to get fucked so we are all at risk!!!! :runaway:

Yeah, it can. Or longer.

On top of that, the egg has to implant in the wall of the uterus before the girl starts producing hormones that will show on a pregnancy test. That can take 1-2 weeks.

I'm interested to hear how the hell they're gonna prove this.

I've seen his shows on TV, particularly when I was younger and may have bought it, and even then I could tell that most of it was obviously fake, with parts filmed before the actual show.

but this is - by far - the EASIEST trick to fake in the entire world.

unless he pulls a sheet over her and then takes it down and she's like 8 months pregnant. then i'd be impressed. if thats a the case i hope they dont put some restrictive garter on her before hand to make her have a flat stomach!

yeesh. magic.

David Copperfield, Havent herd about him in a wile. He dissapered for a wile, his best trick yet! I like Criss Angel he does some great magic and doesnt need a bunch of props. Hes on A&E the shows called Mind Freak. Great Stuff, its actually on tonight.
