prozac & the shroom

Does anyone have credible scientific information regarding psilocybin and prozac? I have taken X while on prozac more than one time, and it has had absolutely NO effect on me. The last time I took shrooms (just two baby ones) I just felt enhanced drunkeness. Has anyone else experienced this (UN)weirdness? Oh, also pot gives me a serious (and not pleasant) sense of unreality. I don't smoke it anymore as a result.

I think prozac is a MAOI not an SSRI. MAOI should intensify the effects of shrooms, so maybe you have a naturely high tolerance, or were just not taking enough. Weed (especially good weed) can have very powerful effects for new/occational smokers, and can give some the sense of a fake or altered reality. That seems to go away as smoking becomes more habitual, so maybe you jsut did not smoke enough. Anyways, anyone taking an MAOI should be careful consuming any drug, and be very informed on the effects of mixing drugs.

Nope, I'm pretty sure it's an SSRI.
