Pine Straw (Pine Needles) Good? Bad? Indifferent?

I still have yet to birth my first PF jar (cant wait - I have 2 1/2 pt jars of 2 strains) and I plan to case both of them seperately, then take the spent casings and outdoor tek them. Only problem is the remote area that I am scouting for my outdoor tek is surrounded by pine trees. Pine trees are abundant round these parts and pine straw is used in flower beds and such. In fact, a while back I found some mushrooms growing in a bed of straw. (They bruised blue when broken but I didnt want to take a risk without knowing what they were)
At any rate, the 2 strains I am planning on ODTekking are Golden Teacher and Texas. Will these strains be affected by the ever falling pine needles? Or might they flourish in an ourdoor environment? Thanx -Me

i dont suggest you crumble and case a single cake unless you have a container small enough to give you a deep substrate. you should probably dunk and roll since you dont have very much substrate, you will probably get better results
