Just wondering if anybody has anything to say on growing KS's. I ordered a syringe from thehawkseye and am egerly waiting there arival, girlfriends getting annoyed with me asking if there here:) havn't felt this way since i ordered teenage mutant ninja turtles by mail when i was 8. exciting times. Just to let you know it'll be my first time growing. plur

All I know for the moment is that it is a fast colonising strain. I have to see it fruits, but it looks promising.

I was coming home yet,my friend said look up to KohSamui..
they are growin...i take a short look and have 2 lough so much ---LOL- They grow horizontal...I mean this is so funny..

Not so fast ? There are actually fast compared to many other strains.
Horizontal growth ? Trust me, mine won't grow horizontal !

Koh Samui is a wonderful strain. The trip is great, however the trip they give is short, lasting at the most five hours. They only grow horizontal if the light source is from the side, and not above. Colonizing is fast with this strain, as well as fruiting. They seem to be more forgiving than most cubes, meaning that they don't need perfect conditions to grow well.

Bluhoney favorite :smile:,:). These are wonderful. Mass flushes and very colorful visions with no anxiety. My friend grows them often and she loves them VERY much. They love compost the best, but plain wheat  straw works good as well. Heres a pic of some of hers.

You got the perfect strain for a beginner they fruit easily and grow pretty fast.
The trip is short abouot 3 hours for me but that's enough because I find them to be quite speedy. Not a bunch of anxiety a nice clean vibe but just to uppity/speedy for my taste. There like rockets.
I like something more laid back like Mazatapec's or Ecuadors.
Great strain non the less you'll have alot of fun with it.

thanks for the feed back everybody;) not really ready to tackel anything other than brf but who knows, i've become addicted to mushroom info, spend every waking hour wondering what would be a good substrate or how to, on anything about shrooms. I need help, baby says she's going to leave me, overheard friends saying something about a confrontation, mothers crying in the backroom:) peace

exact same strain im working with - my first time as well - I ordered my syringe and just received it this past friday from T.H.E as well and let me tell you this ITS WORTH THE WAIT! Boy what a kick ass syringe. I chose this strain too as I hope its good for my 1st strain plus it colonizes quick and I can prove it - My jars have been in my incubator for 3 days and already the mycellium is growing im seeing little white speckles and boy does it rewl!@! Glad also I hear the trip is great sucks it only lasts about 3 hours but thats still good enough but I also read it was a very visual trip this strain gives I hope thats true...
Anyways good luck man I hope my babies grow just as well as yours.

ok wait a second a 3 hour trip... i dunno but i think your wrong on that... how can this strain be potent but then only last 3 hours... anyone else... every shroom trip ive ever heard about from my good friends last 6 to 9 hours

Im not actually using first hand experience info Im just assuming its a shorter trip with this strain according to the info in this thread... On the hawks eye site it said it was potent and pretty decent visual trip so again its not 1st hand info

Ive never heard of a shroom trip lasting more then 6 hours though, almost all the times ive tripped the most it lasted was 5 hours after that it was comedown

It only last about 3 hours for me... Mazatapecs last 4-6hrs
But Thats just me some people trip longer off em but they are still short in duration when compared to other strains.
I have found them to be pretty visual when grown on compost but not all that visual when grown on brf cakes.
Beleive it or not there seems to be a difference.
I would describe them as a more pyshical cubensis more body vibe than kick ass tracers and colors/ swirling breathing objects. Still for a first try there the only strain I'd recommend.
After you have fun with them move on to Eq's or A mexican strain(Maz,Mexi) for more eyecandy.
I also hear PES Hawaiian and Tazmanian are good for that too. Never tried em though.

Hawk finds this strain "Thai ks" more potent than Ecuadors.
I got both strain first go Thai ks and Eq From thehawkseye
Couldn't get the Eq's to go right got a few though about 4 grams.
The ks were easy and plentiful.
Tried the ks first and found them nice but not as potent as rumored I was told they were stronger than ecuadors so I took a little more eq's a few weeks later about 3.5 grams. Thinking they were weaker than the Koh Samui's( I thought wrong).
The Ecuadors blew my socks off I was way too high felt uncomfortable.(would have been cool if i took a lesser dose)
They were way more euphoric I guess would be the word and alot stronger. I wish I would of taken less.
So all in all i found the Ecuadors to be more potent and much more visual also alot of laughing involved with em too if you know what I mean.
But thats just me could be different for every person i recommend trying hawks Eq's though they have legs...

I as well ordered thailand koh samui from THE. Initially it was contaminated, and it took about 8 culture transfers to finally get a clean piece of mycelium. (and a hell of a lot of peroxide) but now that its clean, its going strong, and is a very fast colonizer with rye grain. but then again, i'm only basing that on B+, it colonizes faster than B+. not sure about pinning though, havent seen any thai pins yet. B+ seems to be a slow pinner too.
my b+ syringe from THE was clean though.
