Peroxide in coolmist humidifier???

Can u fill a vick's cool mist humidifier w. Peroxide to ward off contams or will it mess things up?? Thanks!!!

Vis,

I would say that would depend on the quality of your water.

I use purified water.....just because Seattle water is so crappy.
Plus they cram all sorts of chemicals into our water supply.

on there names, that means they have mushrooms for sale.

Distilled water will help to avoid mineral deposits on
humidifier parts. Some humidifiers have a decal inside
of them giving this suggestion. :peace:

I'd always recommend distilled water, tap water will cause mineral deposits as stated above and if the water is still relatively chlorinated then it could cause problems i'd imagine. If you live in a high humidity area, invest in a cheap little dehumidifier, I have one in my bathroom and it generates about a gallon a week of distilled water. This will also help prevent mold in your house.
