I just got a Ferret today.
    #5610627 -

My family bred them when I was young, and I have not had one in my family since my teens. She is a very well tempered albino female. No biting no nipping, energetic and playful but very very well mannered.

I have named her Oni, as she is ghost white and very quiet. The Japanese term for spirit, demon or ghost is also very unique sounding so I think she'll catch it rather easily. She is 9 months old or so. Fixed, up to date on shots, and has had her musk glands removed so her smell is minimal and only right on and around where she is at the time.

I couldn't be happier. Ferrets are very great pets. And she is a great baby to get back into Ferrets on.

Congrats.

I used to have a ferret. They are so playful. I am not at home enough to have one now.

Have fun with her. Post a pic if you have one.

As soon as I get my camera back from a friend who needed it for a BDSM party I'll take and post some pics, she is gonna be in alot of my gallery photos from here out. She finally fell asleep, for a baby who got moved twice today, once from the breeder to the store and then to my home. She adjusted quick and just wanted to play for about 2 hours, now shes finally down and tomorrow she be getting alot more room to explore. I'm introducing her to the family in steps hehe, have two great well mannered female cats, both have lived with dogs and rats and neither freaked when meeting her nor did she freak.

So happy,

Darken

Cool! Good luck with it.

I was at a pet store and I held one but it smelled like a elephant with BO so I don't think I want that...unless I can put some Cologne on it

I didn't even know ferrets HAD musk glands :stoned:

I'd love to have a pet ferret, but they're illegal here in california. I still don't know why.

She is adorable today I had her out for an hour or so. She is still young and easilly excitable. So she tends to get a bit rough after a decent play session, with Ferrets to stop nipping you have to over-react when they do, and stop all play when it gets too rough.

I think they are pretty entertaining.

A friend of mine had two ferrets when I was younger. It was always fun to go over and play with them.

They are very energetic and playful animals for the most part.

I want to see some pics.
