My friends plant is flowering with 24 hours continuous light.
how is this possible, he said he heard certain strains just start flowering after so much growth has occured.
I thought maybe it was cause it was stressed early is mabye why its flowering now or maybe cause its in a small pot it has no room for more roots.
anyone ever have this happen? wats the deal?

^ true, or it could just be some stress, perhaps the plant has been stressed into thinking it might not have long to live so it's trying to spread its seed quick before it's too late... Do you know if it has LowRyder genetics in it?

I'm sure it doesn't have lowryder genetics, Lowryder is a hybrid, not a sub-species.
It's either root bound, highly stressed, or from stock from genetic stock from northern latitudes.

It happens. Take the strain known as Mikado, a cross of sweet pink grapefruit and Blueberry and for some reason after about 6 to 8 months it flowers in 18 to 24 hr light and it has no rude genetics in it. Shit happens. One thing, it will keep flowering but never reach full potential if he doesn't put it in 12 hr light.

I think this site is dedicated to lowrider www.highbred .net They claim that autoflower is a dominate trait (or was that one of my last issues of Cannabis Culture)
Having said that, i doubt you have a X of lowrider so... as always, listen to Magash!
Edit: Added this Check this one out, it's Lowrider forced to vegg, and then used for clones! It uses lower temps, like the ruderalis has naturally! www.highbred .net/forums/index.php?showtopic=36&st=0

Actually ruderalis autoflower is a recessive trait when bred with other subspecies.
