oink is kinda unfair

so they expect u to maintain this high u/l to d/l ratio but what if people arent trying to download what ur trying to upload. for instance i downloaded this torrent which includes every single dick's picks 1-36 it was 11gb. well im still seeding this thing and ive only u/l 400mb, which is alot however my ratio sucks cuz i d/l 11gb. what should i do just d/l something faggy that tons of people are d/ling just so i can seed the shit out of it? anyone else have this problem?

yes I've downloaded one thing and seeded days and days but their membership restrictions are so high there's nobody to seed to!!! I just can't use that site...

Exactly. So many people seeding that it's near impossible to upload as much as you download in a fair amount of time.

The only way to really score on oink is to release music that's not on there, or better yet, a discography. A friend released the hillary duff discography, and his ratio now is 15.00.

Yeah, TELL ME ABOUT IT :rolleyes:

yeap, whenever my ratio gets below 1 I just scour my library until i find a few albums that aren't up there yet & make sure that they are. other than that, just leave your torrent program running 24/7 and slowly folks will trickle files.

in order to get a decent share ratio, you have to upload your own torrents. I have found that just seeding does very little. Upload 2 or 3 cds and you'll be in the positive, trust me - very easy. be sure to read the rules about what you can upload.

or jsut wait until they give amnesty for a week after christmas again..

I downloaded 20 gigs and uploaded 30 during that time, and the 20 I downloaded didn't count against me.

my ratio was infinite until I realized I had to download something to get access to my invites.
then it went down to 44.

That's exactly what I did, blink. Downloaded like mad over christmas and kept everything seeded, so now I can download whatever I want without worrying about my ratio too much.

If you are new to the site, dont download 11 gigs! You'll likely be booted off before you can make that up. Start with small downloads and upload your own torrents.

I just a post on their forums about that. I've been trying to upload the most popular torrent right now and over 14 hours I've only been able to upload about 24mb of it....Some people have ratios like 1:50 and are uploading at decent speeds but most people are uploading at garbage speeds or none at all. This is why I got banned last time, I had over 6 torrents just uploading and my ratio never improved.

:lol: that dicks picks torrent, a live-phish discography, a smiths/moz disco, and a david bowie disco have fucked my ratio. i've managed to get it back to .95 or so, but it'll take so damn long to get it higher, i don't even really try
