Do I need polyfil in the small slits in my fruiting tub?

I bought a 22gallon rubbermaid tub for my fruiting chamber. I put my 12qt. tub of horse poo in there yesterday. There are some small slits up under the handles on the sides. Like for ventilation, they came in it. there only about an 1/8th inch thick each and theres about 10 on each side. Should i try and put some polyfil in them for filtration, or just leave them?

I would just put some micropore tape over them, the holes may cause the rh to drop...

micropore tape is about the same thing as no tape. its good for keeping out contams but it is going to have the same effect on the RH. i use a little squeeze tube of caulk.

I had the same thing with my FC which I was using for BRF cakes. I used polyfil around the edges to create a nice, snug fit for my lid. Polyfil won't harbor contams and it def. helped to keep RH up. A little polyfil and some double-sided tape will do the trick.

i just stuck some duct tape up under the handles to cover the holes. It should keep out enough air to let the RH stay fine. I mist it, and have perlite in the bottom.

Um no micropore wont have the same effect as no tape it will limit the air flow, I suggested this because I have tried to use polyfil for the same holes the poster is talking about and I got sick of it falling out all the time, yeah caulk would be good but then there is no air flow.
