Hahahahaha

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

That is troubling. I ned to somehow find a non-dumb non-slut who's not already taken.

Sorry, man. She's coming to MI. She'll probably be either at Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids most of the time if you need to find her.

Weirdness. I'm all stoned yesterday and i leave the house listening to Sufjan. I go for a walk, and it's up to the track Chicago when I get to Lucy's house and I'm lsitening listening and suddenly I get into this phlegmy coughing fit, and when I open my eyes after hacking up a lung I am staring right at Lincoln's face in an Illinois license plate.

Heh That reminds me of the Simpsons episode, last night. They were talking about how American culture revolves around sex and then, they say, "Have you ever taken a long look at the Lincoln Memorial?". It pans to Lincoln and it looks like he's reading a newspaper, taking a shit.

so that either means you should move to chicago & start chain smoking, or that sufjan's voice sets your body temperature so high as to disrupt your lung function.

probably a bit of both

Sufjan maks me feel squiggly - and I haven't evenlistened to Seven Swans or Great Lakes yet.   I'm all obsessed with The Man of Metropolis right now.

greetings from michigan rings truest to me, probably because i have childhood memories of all the places he is singing about.

illinoise, though, was just stupendous.

listen to 'enjoy your rabbit' - it is completely different than anything else he's made
