That'd be one of the greatest films of all time. We'd go to Amsterdam and hire whores and there'd be all sorts of felching.

This is such a happy thread.
I'm psyched for ya OMR... The whole summer with the chikita and all. You might want to consider moving to the Boston area as well.. Add it to your list at least.
/me rolls a a dank joint ...will pass soon. (if only)

Somewhere in the middle of this thread two other people suggested that...I would never live in Boston. Ever. I really can't stand that city other than the occasional visit. My Yankee fan blood curdles when I stay too long though.

no (my father speaks kannada, i understand it to some basic level, but can't really speak it). studied french from like gr 3-11, and then had a french girlfriend for the 2 years i lived in norway. studied nynorsk for the 2 years i lived there as well, and tried to learn danish for the last 6 months or so. then living in denmark, and taking danish language courses.
now i have to struggle to keep it up by reading articles and writing emails in danish/norwegian. it's really the immersion that gets you experiencing in another language, rather than just translating everything in your head.

Don't let some dreadlocked yoghurt-suckin hippy on an internet messageboard kill your dreams with his talk of visas. He's a hippie - which means the only visa he knows about is his daddy's!

I hate Boston proper too (except for occasional visits) so I didn't mean Boston to live in, I said "Boston area", meaning the suburbs or even further west in Massachusetts. It's really a nice place to be, although, I'd prefer no more change of seasons. I've had enough steamy summers and frosty winters. Damnit, I'm getting too old for this New England weather. I need to move to where I can ride my Harley 9 months out of the year instead of 4-5.
As far as baseball goes, yeah, I'm pretty much a Red Sox fan ( I kinda have no choice there) and I hope Johnny Damon breaks a wrist or a shoulder rotator cuff or something so the Yankees don't have his bat. He has me really pissed off at him, but hey, whatayagonnado?

Heh. I actually don't like Massachussetts on the whole. I hate the attitude in most parts, and I've been in many different areas, my sister went to school at Wellesley so I spent some time in MA. Most people there are mass-holes...and I'm a misanthrope in general but I can stand most people I don't like and I can't stand most mass-holes!
Really looking at chitown or San Fran the most...but NYC will always be home.

I know what you mean by "mass-holes"... I've encountered plenty of them, I can even be one at certain times, or I used to, but I'm glad I'm more the exception than the rule.

my favourite spots in new england are def vermont, maine, and n.h.
never really been to mass, though, except driving through.
robot:
hella: you could probably get a visa to study, or maybe to teach english, as deepman was saying. otherwise, you can always get a tourist visa and mysteriously vanish into the sicilian underworld.
