Tell Me About Your Happy Place...
    #5417800 - 03/19/06 12:52 AM (17 years, 10 months ago)

Hey everyone, now that your here you may aswell make a post! I want everyone to tell me of their happy place, the place/time/locale you think of that takes you away from all wordly worries, makes you warm inside and puts a smile on your face.

It may be an open meadow full of flowers and distant snow capped mountains , A magical rainforest full of birdsong and freshwater creeks , A tropical beach with a hot sun and a cool breeze off the aqua water , A view of innocent white snowfields with not a person in sight or even just a clean refreshing creek with a continous waterfall .

It can be anything at all and everyones is probably different. Try to post pics if you have any of the place.
As for me there is a lookout mountain covered in forest close to where I live that I love to go up and lookout over my town when I'm feeling down, and I throw all my worries over the edge of the cliff. I especially LOVE it when it's cloudy, raining and storming. Makes me feel so free.

Ok people I wanna see the places that can take all your worries away for a brief moment. I wanna see the same count of views and posts on this thread!

Love Shrooma :mushroom2:

ok thats cool but where does your mind go, don't think of your mind as a separate entity because you ARE your mind. By the way are they MDMA? And is the stamp roses?

Our state parks are so gorgeous here, and a great camping/tripping destination most months of the year:

Early one year I went for a visit to Canada and we stopped at Niagara falls for a look. I've been there before in more seasonable parts of the year and it is always majestic. But this time it was winter and everything was frozen over. There was no one around but us, and the air was the purest I think I've ever breathed. All the vapour that gets kicked up from the falls had condensed and frozen on the railings, so you had to take your life in your hands to crawl up and gaze over the edge.

That's one of my favourite memories to go back to in times of stress.

But my all-time favourite place to be is in the car, with the radio on, all alone on the interstate or some little country road while it's pouring down rain. It's my version of going to church.

What a great idea!

Machu Picchu, Peru (mentally for now)

Spirit Lake in the fall.

Spirit Lake from atop the bluffs, I get here maybe 2-3 times a month.  More often in spring and fall when no one is around, great place to camp.

This is the disc golf course, i take my doggies here to run every night, all year long. My day just isn't quite right without our walk.

This is a cool idea for a thread! Hmmm...my happy place...never really thought about it, but my mind goes to music to seek solace. Everytime that my mind wanders, I don't go to a place, per se, but I do go to music. I will start humming a song, or singing a tune that pops in my head.

I must say my happy place has always been a tropical rainforest. when I was younger I would always fantasize about running barefoot through green leaves vines in a very humid hot place.

sometimes im a wild cat :-P

In my mind it's a green lush rainforest in antother world.
In life it's the lake house.
I liked the idea of being alone in a car on a country road like
Dont Drive Angry mentioned

Hahaha these are awesome places guys. Those pics of Niagra Falls are amazing I'll have to go one day. And driving around contryside, with nobody on the road while its pouring down with rain is an awesome thing to do I love it.

Here another pic of the DJ stand at on of the Outdoor Psytrance events I been to: (it's also a happy place for me)

Very cool thread idea.

My happy place has to be deep in the forest out in the pacific northwest. Just wandering along aimlessly with a few good friends and your dog. Nothing beats it.

My happy place would be the beach after some surfing (although i dont surf much...)

or a warm empty road while cruisin on my motorcycle, preferably with an old friend of mine.
