Are you happy where you live?
    #5450821 - 03/28/06 10:56 AM (17 years, 10 months ago)

I spent ages, years trying to get my ass over to some open land such as Australia, Canada or states for that matter. 2 years later im still stuck in the windy and wet UK.

What I got against a place like this is mostly the weather, no proper cars, and the fact its so over populated that theres no country side here and I like open space a lot, and if it wasn?t for the weather it wouldn?t be so miserable? country side.

Good luck in the world. Make getting off welfare a top priority. You won't know freedom until you actually have it through earning it.

good luck, and if you ever come to the states, give Georgia a try. lots of open space, but your not too far from the city. just stay away from cobb county, we've got a higher cop to citizen ratio than new york city

After 15+ years of living here in Arizona, I don't think I could really live anywhere else. I don't like the heat, yeah.. but I can just stay inside, hah. The rest of the year is gorgeous and I love not having 20394320 bugs every 2 feet. Granted the ones we do have can probably kill or seriously hurt you, but they're cool too in their own way.

I don't really like dallas, but its cheap and I know all the people that basically own and run the city, so I can pretty much get away with anything.

As much as I hate texas, I couldn't imagine moving to a strange place where I didn't know anyone. My social network in dallas is pretty much how I survive.

Oh yeah, I forgot. I also wouldn't leave my friends, heh. I swear I didn't forget about them just now, really.

Living in the Baltimore/Washington DC corridor has gotten way old for me. Sky high real estate/rental prices, way too many cars, too many people you don't want to see around and too few that you do. It is like the 2 cities have merged and created a new brand of sub-ghetto. People come here to work for the government usually in some capacity but I'd prefer a smaller town with much fewer people.

I grew up in the rural midwest. Bugs galore. I like bugs, big ones anyway that I can see where they're going. But I don't like having a bunch of small ones everywhere.

Good luck, man.

I lived in western North Dakota for eighteen years, then moved to northern California, where I've lived for almost a year. Although I am happy here, I'd prefer to live somewhere warmer and more populated. I want to live outside of the United States for awhile as well. After I earn my bachelor's degree, I'm going elsewhere for graduate school.

I think they're interesting. Big ones like centipedes, luna moths, palo verde beetles, camel spiders, tarantulas, etc. Not that I want to get cuddly or keep them as pets.. but they're interesting.

I live in San Diego, California and its pretty sweet. Nice weather, beach, mountains, snow, hiking and much more. It has pretty much any environment you could want within a couple hour drive. You can hit the beach and the snow in the same day if you wanted to.

I was born and raised in rural Midwest US. My then-fiancee (now wife) had a job opportunity in Hawaii, in particular on the island of Maui. So we shipped everything we wanted to keep, gave away or donated the rest... and here we are! Our place is a 10 minute walk from the nearest beach. There are about dozen great beaches within a 15 minute drive. We can hike in rainforest, lavafields, huge ridges, or in the crater of a dormant volcano. And for the money we spent to relocate and get jobs out here... some people will blow in just a week or two of vacationing! How could we not be happy here???

If any of you Pubbers are gonna find yourself on Maui, be sure to let me know.
