So very exuberantly happy.
    #5412980 -

Whew.

Say it with me.

Whew. Big sighs of relief, loving relief, the kind that makes you forget any other trouble that might be breathing down your neck.

My girlfriend and her roommate are moving out of their apartment, as I've said before, and are movng to Argentina or Spain. Their lease is up on June 1st which means this would be my last two and a half months with the girl I've been with for the past 3 years of my life pretty much. That was a lot to swallow, though I'm totally supportive.

The three of us went out to dinner the other night and we were talking about summer, and how that's Our Time. Baseball! Warm weather! The beach! The idea of not being able to watch yankee game after yankee game with my girls really had me down.

THey went and talked to their landlord, ten minutes ago, and she agreed to extend their lease 3 months to September 1st. That might seem like the easy obvious thing to do but with landlords in NYC it's like pulling fucking teeth. They want year-long contracts at the very least, and any sort of special accomodation usually includes a price increase.

But theirs is cool, and they get to stay for 3 more months with no raise in the rent.

Summer with my baby. Yay.

If I had it my way, Randal, one day she'd be the mother of my children. And if she had it her way, it'd be the same. But we're neither of us stupid enough to commit to marriage or anything at this young an age. So we'll do our own thing...and the way we work, our relationship is very laid abck, this is the only place I ever really go out of my way to call her my "girlfriend." She's really just my best friend that I'm insanely in love with.

So she'll go, and we'll just...play it by ear, I suppose.

Cool, man. Are you coming to Ohio? You should bring her out before she ships out...

I'm sure you don't need to hear this, but don't waste your time together... try to keep it memorable. Do unique things together, not just the same old same old. You know? Good stuff.

She's not so into the whole meeting random kids from a drug website thing. :smirk: She respects and understands the Shroomery part of my life but she wouldn't come to Ohio, I'm sure of that.

Well Eileen (the roomie) will just find a waitressing job there..right now she serves at one of the best steakhouses in all of NYC so she shouldhave no problem getting a job at some high-profile tourist restaurant or something. Lucy will teach English and study Spanish.

And me?

Fuck if i know, dude.

They should go to Spain not Argentina. You should go to Montreal or Vancouver.

Vancouver would be cool - but just in time for winter? Yikes.

I hung out with a couple of Spaniards last week...and I think they should go to Argentina.
