Um...I'm "diagnosed" bipolar. I don't know if I really am though since I don't trust the people who "gave" (aww...so KIND of them) me my diagnosis.
But I am always open to listening if you'd like to discuss anything. Shoot me a PM anytime.

I have always wondered what the "cut-off" point for bi-polar was. Is a person with strong mood swings bi-polar, or is that just a quirk of their personality? I am sure that by many peoples description of bi-polar that half of the world would be diagnosed with it.

I haven't been diagnosed but I have to have it. I fit every symptom with excruciating detail. It sucks. It's so hard to even make a decent income because it affects my work habits most of all. It's not that I don't want to work and I'm lazy, but I'll shift to a depressed, anxious, and irritated state and I just want to leave early and chill out.

Um...well...I wouldn't recommend tripping if you have a "mental illness."
Things can get...complicated.
However, there's no way I'm going to stop tripping. Just have to be cautious about integration. As long as I integrate the information from my trips and my sober life is in order, I am usually okay...
Your mileage may vary. I wouldn't recommend tripping unless you are making progress in your sober life in regards to your ailment. Things can get confusing and/or scary otherwise.

i wouldnt reccomend it, but self-medicating, as bad as everyone makes it out to be, has really changed me for the better.. i had my first suicidal thoughts yesterday, coming only after i stopped smoking marijuana for 1 week and been drug free for about 2 weeks..
so in my opinion, which differs from person to person, it has really helped me, explore myself and be at peace with myself
