Making tea from spent cakes?

Hello all! I think you understand my post from the title. So what do you think? I tried a few times to make tea from almost new cakes and nothing happened..Maybe I didn't make it right..

i really don't know. never tried it, but I believe testing has found that mycellium doesn't contain psilocybin until the pinnig phase. It would probably work better with a cake that already had a flush or two.
