HID Fluro's - For real?

OK So I've seen these lights.  The guy at the grow store vouched for them the other day...

I want someone who is using one to let me know what they think...

well i think like 400w puts out 500HID... i might be terribly mistaken...

otherwise these are some crafty fluoro bulbs.

the seller has this item listed as private so you can't relate feedback directly to this item.

i think those would be ideal for clones and veging but i would not flower with them..but who knows :wink:

i wonder if they really put out 500HID that is my real question.

the reflectors looks more like one on a floodlight too.

they put out 8000lumens which is equal to a 100w metal halide... i don't see the 85 % energy savings they claim there.

The guy is a scam artist.. He is directing his market to stoners who will buy quick and not research.. Look at the background of his picture, its an old swiss or holland green house full of pot plants. Dont buy from this dude.

Compact floros are good for plants, Home DePot sells 45w (Comparable to 150w+) They are very good for keeping plants alive in the office or for keeping cuttings alive for cheap. I personaly would not grow under them when realisticly HIDs are cheaper in the long run for what you get.

lol, i didn't know that 65watts of flouros = lumens same as 500watts of hid!! I'm going to order 10 of them :wink: lol, this ebay guy is a total jackass.
