i think tripping at the beach or in any of the local mountains would be awesome. check out: http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/9900/index.html. it's a site dedicated to hiking spots (or any nice spots, not necessarily for hiking) in southern california. in particular, check out this page of *Socal Places*

I know this is a little farther than you want to go, but last fall I went to Black Canyon outside of Las Vegas (4.5 hour drive) on the Colorado River and kayaked out to Hoover Dam (about 10 miles against the current). We camped between some canyons on a nice sandy beach. Saw rattlesnakes, bighorn sheep, large trout and other fauna. There was even a hot spring! Downed a couple beers, a little spliff and a couple of grams. Tripping after being physically exhausted, just kicking back looking at a skyful of stars was THE BEST! Hey, I should organize a trip for April or May. On second thought, I don't want to show to many people this spot. I want to keep it all to myself .

O h M y G o d . . . have you thought about tripping on an 8th at Disneyland? I know its crowded and all, but I bet its gotta be the shit. I'm gonna try it this next summer. Any body try this yet? Or any amusement park?

I rolled at Universal Studios, that has been the extent of drugs at theme parks ... Sure it'd be fun but it is SO GODDAM risky, if you look shady at all Disneyland security will not hesitate to bring you in and possibly get you on charges of possession of mushrooms (in you) and being intoxicated in public ... if you are BAD tripping then all hell will most likely break loose. If you have a level head, then I'm sure you will have a ton of fun, but personally I would never risk it.

There's this place called Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge. Really beautiful, flowers, trees, lush greens etc. and I don't remember it ever being that crowded, just a bunch of oldies walking around.
