Realistic marijuana scent diffusion in a non-ventilated room

Alright. I'm looking for a house to rent. There is NO house that me and my roommate can rent all to ourselves. We can get a duplex, which is our best bet at the moment. This one has rooms in the basement, the other has rooms above floor. Both duplexes are separated physically from the other one.

But my real question is, how much does marijuana REALLY travel, smell wise? What if there is no window blowing the smoke around? Fans off. Is the smoke going to just fly up the stairs into our kitchen? I mean..it isn't even THAT much smoke. How exactly do you minimize smoke travel? Anyone have any real life scenarios? I have one as an example.

Since it's winter, it's way better for me to smoke with my window closed. If I open it, the cold air blows in and moves the smoke around, normally straight toward my door. That puts the scent of marijuana in the common area and that got me fucked really bad. How can you minimize this shit?

I think you get the question by now. If you don't you can ramble if you want.

I'd either invest in a vaporizer or use a cardboard tube with dryer sheets in the end.

Tube and dryer sheet trick with a candle burning always worked for me.

Are you worried about the roomie or the neighbors?

I use the tube and a crap load of dryer sheets, works well. :stoned: But you got to use a bowl and cover it then blow in tube.

Yep and I always ended up letting a little smoke out so I burned a candle to cover that up.

I've used the tube/dryer sheet method (cut the bottom off one water bottle and attached it to the top of another water bottle, also with its end cut off, so the smoke would be forced to travel through two chambers of dryer sheets) and then pointed that towards the exhaust fan in my bathroom....it still smells. Thankfully the people I live with don't care all that much but that method doesn't really do anything.

If you have the money a good vaporizer is probably the best bet.

or a vacuum!! people might think its strange that youre always vacuuming and yet have a hideously dirty room... but its better than nothing. if anything they will think you doin someteeny sex games... which is better than soemething iillegal right?

I live in a condo as well. I use the cardboard tube and dryer sheet thing. Also leave the bathroom fan on, open a window once a day.

Well, ok. I'm not going to have any roommates besides my one friend. We are probably going to be in one half of a duplex. The whole place is brick, no wood anywhere. The only thing that concerns me is people walking in like my landlord and smelling it. You can't make a place smell like weed like you can cigarettes can you? If I burn inscense or something...that would cover the smell perfectly righT?

I've never really thought of this stuff until I got busted.

Weed smell doesn't linger like cigarette smell. Between that and the fact that the landlord needs to notify you at least 24 hours prior to entering your residence (in my state at least) you shouldn't have much to worry about. Just don't leave your jar of nugs open.

That's what I was wondering. I can just get candles like you guys said. Candles and a vaporizer and I doubt God could accuse me of smoking.

I cant imagine living with people who dont smoke weed.

We always have the bubbler sitting in the middle of the coffee table here, usually with a jar of the sticky.

I remember sneaking around when I lived at home, and it sucked. Find some cool roomies. Your in ATL, there MUST be some cool people there.

I used to smoke in my garage, and the smell never traveled to other rooms. It goes away in a few hours too, depending on what you smoke. (Joints take longer than a bong would.)

if you hole yourself up in your room, temporarily turn ac off, and TOWEL up all cracks in the door / windows (if they are loose windows or something otherwise that doesn't make sense [are there "loose windows"? I'm not sure what I mean here]) you can straight out bong it and the smell shouldn't really be too bad.

then you just stay in there for a damn long while and when you're ready to leave i dunno, spray febreeze around, turn on a vaccum or something.

honestly i think the dryer sheets work well enough to where the smell won't leave the room you are in and won't be that strong, but i'm desensitized to the smell too.

for some reason a bulb vaporizer can leave a strong smell but it's like it only stays in the exact PLACE you used it, like you step 3 feet away and you can't really smell it.

They sell these fans that you can fit in your windo that blow air out and air wont blow back in.



It's your cheapest, most reliable option.

You can blow the smoke right out the window.

And that drier sheet carboard tube thing doesn't work for shit. My mom used to smell it anyway.

P.s. Don't smoke joints.
