Getting the '+' sign to show up in a UBB title

I'm trying to get the title for the link in ym sig to say 50/50+ and not 50/50Plus (which I have to type instead because the + doesn't show up when I try it). Any sorta prefix to get it to take the + sign literally? I tried \
Thanks

That link works for me - do you not see the "+"?

I see the +, but when I try it, the plus just isn't there.

I'm using the default skin, the bg color is a dark maroon. I know that there's not + there (not just a matching color) because when I highlight the text, there's only an additional space after the 50/50. so it turns out like this when I highlight to verify:
"My First Grow using WBS and 50/50 " (no quotes of course)
I've only used preview thus far to test it, but I'm sure that isn't the problem.

Hah, as it turns out my assumption was wrong, preview doesn't show you what it will actually look like. In preview, the + doesn't show up, but if I accept the changes regardless, it shows up in my actual sig. Screw preview.
