I guese this is the place to put this.
http://www.cnn.com/2006/AUTOS/01/31/toxic_cars/index.html?section=cnn_topstories
Quote:
A Michigan environmental group is charging that at least part of the so-called "new car smell" is toxic, and that the interior of an automobile has dangerous levels of various chemicals.
Quote:
"These groups of chemicals have been linked to birth defects, impaired learning, liver toxicity, premature births and early puberty in laboratory animals, among other serious health problems," according to the report.
Quote:
It also suggested that car owners take steps to reduce the release and breakdown of these chemicals by using solar reflectors, ventilating car interiors, and parking outside of sunlight whenever possible.

i have yet to find somethign which doesnt cause birth defects, impaired learning, liver damage, and birth problems along with serious other health problems. every where i go there are signs saying exactly that! its at my apartments, the swimming pool, the gym, construction areas, grocery stores, and now its even im my car.
dude. dont worry about that shit.... its a bumch of environmentalists who go overboard and with even the tiniest of probable health issues they will make a huge fuss... the amount of those chemicals needed to create all those problems is much more than you will ever inhale in a life time.

I'm not worried about it, just thought I would pass it along.

Then again, isn't the number of occurances of these things pretty high?
