Why do you go to festivals? what makes it a good fest?

Im somewhat curious as to what makes a fesival a good festival and why you choose one over the other. Also har far you would be wiilling to travel under what condition???

Personally ill drive almost anywhere, and i do mean anywhere on this continent as long as someone can assure me a good time. LAst year i drove straight from phoenix to bonaroo, 26 some hours straight! and then i jammed for a day.

i go for the music.

the degenerates and nasty port-a-potties usually detract from the overall experience though.

haha yeah i must admit that for somem reason food at a festival is always fucking great. usually beacuse im just that drunk and happy and free feeling.

Could be anything. Music, food, people, merchandise, friends, but mostly a confluence of all these things.

I'll go anywhere there's a good time if I'm feeling up to it.

I must admit i do love that word confluence..
it would be a nice name for a festival if it didnt sound like some sort of nasty bodily fluid.

i do agree on the other world situation, its always nice.

Have any of you gone to a festival for its first year?? mostly what i hear is people go to fests beacuse of what they have heard from people that have been there before.

I want to meet people, fall in love, dance, kiss + cuddle, find lost drugs, learn, camp, and hang out in the trees.

This summer i hitchhiked about 5000km to the national rainbows - this summer ill be bouncing around on the road fulltime. Within northamerica i have no boundaries..

I DONT like too much open drug abuse at a festival. Consumerism and capitalistic venture's at festivals are a HUGE turn off.

Free parties rock.
