Best invention since the wheel

it's round and you can put anything in it...
ALL HAIL THE PITA BREAD !!!!!!!!

if it wasn't for the pita i'd probably be dead by now... i usualy eat one or two of these every day (with chomoos or scrambled eggs or some sort of meat and lettace sometimes a stake sometimes a chnitzel maybe some choclate spread? but by far my favorite is frying some salami or other kinds of sliced meat and adding two eggs on top and stuffing the pita with all that (the yello part still runny so it gets everything wet :drooling: )





is the pita as common in your parts as it is in israel?
(we never run out of pita bread! there's always some in the freezer)

what do you like in a pita?

I like pitas.

I eat them at home all the time w/ hummus. Hummus and tomato and lettuce or sprouts makes up a large part of my diet. Very quick and easy.

I like them in gyros too, which is common in America, maybe not in Israel? I'm not sure, but curious. Is alot closer to Greece than America is.

Yes! I love pita bread.

My favorite is toasted pita, halved, spread inside with hummus, then filled with tabbouli salad & topped with crumbled feta cheese.

Pita pizza is excellent, too.  Tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, sliced veggies, 10 mins in the oven & MMMMMM!

now thats what im talkin about Doner baby! turkish style! back when i was living in germany i would have a doner almost every day! that or the lamacun with meat (gyros) in it. mmmmm....!
