Well now.. I have heard many things to the contrary... such as.... in PESA the A stands for Azureacens (sp) because it was supposed to be a hybrid... and that Amazonians are actually just another strain of Amazonians :)

Regardless of what the A stands for, the strain sold as PESA by Ryche Hawk, and the strain sold as PES Amazonian by Sporeworks, are the same strain. Nothing to do with PF's "Amazonian" either.

no one said there actually was an azure hybrid in this thread - according to T.H.E the PESA are not the PES amazonian - ive not grown either so im just looking at what it says on ryche's site.

I think I remember a discussion along these lines before, and Ryche aknowleging that his PESA and Sporeworks PES Amazonian were, in fact, the same. It may be a false memory though

i believe that the PESA was mistaken to be a cubensis/azure hybrid because of its exceptionally high potency, however it was discovered that the PESA strain was jus a really potent cubensis. peace, raj

if you take a look at pictures of PESA's which exist on vendor sites, and on this site, you will notice two distinctly different looking shrooms.. one of these has a pronounced red nipple in the center of a mature cap... the other has a pronounced white rim around the edges of the cap.. possibly a bit of viel... either way, they are different for sure. And bluemeanie is correct, to my recall, in that Mr. Hawke does claim on his site that the PESA is NOT PES Amazionian. Anyhow.. I wish someone knew this for sure... but it seems to be totally up in the air. Thanks all.

These 2 strains are completly different. The PESA grows smaller fruits then the PES. My friends tried both and they are different strains. PES will give you huge fruits on a dung substrate while PESA will give you an abundance of medium fruits. Both are good producers though. hope this helps clear things up. kayaman
