Glass pipe repair
    #5168854 -

So, I've had this pyrex piece for awhile now. It was clear when I got it, but I earned a nice dark brown (almost blackish color) fading to brown and light brown as you look down to the mouth part. Anways, it fell out of my cabinet and the bowl hit into a glass ashtray and broke off. It's seems to be a clean break, with no random shards. It's funny, I knew the day I bought it that it would break at this spot. So, I'd like to put the two pieces back together and use it sentimentally. Any ideas on how to go about it?

You need a good torch. Theoretically you could *slowly* heat both ends back up and fuse them together. If you know a local lampworker/pipemaker they could do it perhaps. But they'd probably rather just sell you a new, unblemished piece.
