DVD Ripping Question

I want to rip some dvd's to upload to a torrent site for seeding and I wanted to know what format they use for their dvd rips. Do I just zip the audio and video folders together and make a torrent of it? If so, what's a good free program I can do this with?

do you want to compress the video? make them avi? iso? bin/cue? depends on what kind of file you want, really.

I guess you're right...I'd probably compress it to an AVI once ripped, and it looks like I'll be using DVD Fab since Decrypter is out.

it's fair game to compress the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders into .rar files and share it as a DVDRip.
